• Foreground use: Location is collected while the app is open and actively in use (e.g., during a trip or when viewing a live route).
• Background use (if applicable): To continue providing accurate ETAs and trip status even when the app is closed, location may be collected in the background. You can disable background location access at any time through your device settings.

How long do we retain location data?
Location data is retained only as long as necessary to complete a trip or provide route history for administrative purposes (e.g., 30 days). After that, it is anonymized or deleted.

Sharing of location data:
Location data is shared with:

• School administrators or parents (to show where a vehicle or student is during active trips).
• Third‑party mapping services (e.g., Google Maps) solely for navigation and route display – these services have their own privacy policies.
• Legal authorities if required by law (e.g., for emergency response).

We never sell your precise location data to third parties.
